All About Little Peeps Nursery
Our Ethos and Aim
The basic aim of all our trained staff at Little Peeps Nursery is to ensure that each child has a happy and fulfilled day in a safe, pleasant and relaxed environment. We always focus on your children and their achievements.
Our staff will help develop each child’s potential, including their Physical, Intellectual, Emotional, Language and Social Skills during their time with us.
We believe that all children are capable of achieving so much in the right environment and as a result we have two different settings to offer you and your child. Each nursery has the same high standards both in their decoration and atmosphere and all working to the same policies but all different in their appeal.
The aim of the trained and qualified staff within each setting is to provide each child with an unforgettable day. This may be because the staff have identified a skill your child has acquired or because they have noticed your child’s new T-shirt. Our staffs primarily care is your child, along with that comes the ability to teach and encourage your child on a regular one to one basis.
To start with, when your child is still very young, the staff will focus on individual attention, play and encouragement. But as they grow the attention focuses more on their education. This is achieved by providing the children with as many learning opportunities as possible.
However at no time will a child be forced to take part in or do anything they are not happy to do. Each child’s views and needs will be recognised and acknowledged.
By the time your child leaves the nursery to start Primary School our aim is to enable them to write their own name, recognise the letters of the alphabet, count to 10 and recognise each number out of sequence, have a good start in the understanding of Science and Technology, History and Geography, have an appreciation of art and music, have basic computer skills, have good social skills and be a well rounded ‘balanced’ child.
Our team of staff are highly valued and we pride ourselves in having a consistent team. For us, our commitment to our team mirrors our commitment to your children. The core members of the team are fully qualified, experienced and supported by Early Years practitioners.
They are all enthusiastic and caring - combining a love of young children with professional expertise. This is coupled with an understanding of the children's needs and their development processes.
The Nursery Proprietor, Jenny Baron, has over 25 years experience in childcare, she is a mother of two herself which means that the nurseries are run in a caring and professional manner. Jenny hold's a current DBS Check, First Aid, Food Hygiene and a Currant Level 3 certificate in Child Care.
Our staff are selected not only for their qualifications and experience but also for their personality and attributes. We like to offer your child a stimulating yet calm environment and being cared for by a team of individuals who totally support our ethos.
Safeguarding your child and there welfare is of major importance to us at Little Peeps Nursery, we therefore assure you of the following:

All Staff are qualified in Early Years, Childcare & Education (NVQ Level 2 or Level 3). Our Level 2 staff are also currently training towards Level 3.
In addition to people’s qualifications and experience, we only select staff with the right personality and attributes for working at Little Peeps Nursery – people who support our learning policies, and who can maintain a stimulating and yet calm learning environment for the children.
In order to maintain a high level of quality and childcare standards, our performance is continually monitored and all staff have the opportunity to participate in continual professional development and training throughout the year. Regular team meetings and in-house training further promote a feeling of team spirit and encourage staff to feel proud of the important role they play in your child’s development.
Each setting has members of staff with qualifications and responsibilities in specialist areas, such as children's special needs and health and safety, etc. In all cases more staff members have these specialist qualifications than are required.
All Staff hold Current DBS checks, Food hyigene and first aid certificates
